We were commissioned by an agency to provide a full conference management package for the first meeting of a newly merged company. The aim was to introduce the business and their products to the respective employees of each company. We provided everything for the conference and exhibition sessions including set, lighting, sound and graphics.
Several rooms were used for exhibiting the company information so that the delegates could view and discuss each company’s offering.
The format of the event was very informal and flexibility was key in the timings and supplied facilities. For example; a presentation which was due to take place at the end of a conference session on the Saturday afternoon was rearranged for the evening meal in a local restaurant. This meant the crew needed to dismantle the sound equipment and reinstall it at the restaurant for the evening and then return it to the conference hall for the morning session of the next day. Exhibition rooms were also altered after the first day as the client decided they wanted to change the format for their ‘late arriving’ delegates. Quite a normal event really!
