When 2 become 1!

Hot on the heels of a successful Play Your Games Right! event, our client asked us to provide ideas for their next event – The Middle Managers’ Summer Conference. They wanted to combine two of our activities: Breaking News and Ransom to carry their business objectives and corporate message throughout the Conference.

The event began with the Senior Leadership Team on the stage ready to lecture. Once things had settled and the conference had started, in burst the KDM Kidnappers who then tied up and removed the Senior Leadership Team in front of the whole room. (We had of course forewarned the hotel staff and left a delegate outside the room to reassure any passing guests!!)Ransom

The Middle Managers hadn’t a clue what was going on. They were told the conference had been cancelled and that it was over to them. As the Senior Leadership Team was bustled out of the room, one of the kidnappers stayed and read out a notice which explained that they were empowered to make the decisions that affect the development and aspirations of the organisation, and were to spend the next two days producing short films outlining their own ideas and suggestions. Only if they were successful would they see the Senior Leadership Team again. One or two delegates thought that might be a good idea, however they soon learnt the error of their ways!Breaking News

And there we have it – two KDM events being combined to make one two-day event! Our staff stayed overnight at the venue and were on call for technical help whenever they were needed.

The client couldn’t have been happier with the way things had gone. Before KDM staff had even left I received a phone call praising them. Our client said:

“… the entire event went really well. Garry and Daz couldn’t have been more helpful if they tried. They more than went out of their way and were always there to help. They were highly efficient, highly organized and highly helpful with everything

The client ended with “I am almost positive that we will be calling on your services again – particularly because you are able to tailor events to our requirements. Thanks for all your help and patience with this particular conference

We couldn’t have had better feedback if we’d written it ourselves!!
