KDM work closely with Coventry’s many city centre venues and outlying country house hotels to provide a wide range of indoor and outdoor team building events and corporate entertainment.
Coventry has excellent shopping facilities, pedestrianised streets, parks, gardens and fashionable restaurants, its history stretches back to the eleventh century when cloth manufacturing and leather gods generated the chief economy this developed into metal working and clock and watch making.
In 1057 Lady Godiva famously rode through the town in protest at her husbands taxation of the locals, a statue of her on horseback graces Broadgate.
In WW2, German bombers targeted Coventry and consequently few historic buildings remain; the modern Cathedral is symbolic of the town’s post war regeneration.
Coventry is synonymous with transport, the Museum of British Road Transport houses the largest collection of vehicles in the world, the worlds first ‘bone-shaker’ bicycle was produced in 1868 by James Starley, in 1896 Daimler manufactured the first motorcar in Coventry with Triumph motorcycles appearing soon after.
Singer sewing machines were also founded in the city.
