The Ipswich Museum houses Saxon weapons and jewellery and replicas of the Sutton Hoo treasure.

Ipswich Centre contains the all-glass Willis Corroon Building. Designed by Norman Foster, the building dates from 1974 and is the youngest Grade I listed building in Britain.

Established in 1878, Ipswich Town Football Club, play at Portman Road Stadium. They won the FA Cup in 1978 and the UEFA Cup in 1981.
