Ipswich Centre contains the all-glass Willis Corroon Building. Designed by Norman Foster, the building dates from 1974 and is the youngest Grade I listed building in Britain.

Shopping and dining are well catered for and entertainment options include The Regent or New Wolsey Theatres.

Established in 1878, Ipswich Town Football Club, play at Portman Road Stadium. They won the FA Cup in 1978 and the UEFA Cup in 1981.
