What did we create?

What better way to focus the senior global team on a new vision than to ensconce them in a prestigious rural retreat and inspire them with idea sharing opportunities? Chosen from our carefully selected pool of venues, the Cheshire country house hotel Rookery Hall was hired on an exclusive basis. Branded with bespoke conference imagery it immediately conveyed the conference vision of pulling together and collaboration. After a relaxed private dinner and drinks welcome evening, the programme kicked off the following day with plenary presentations delivered from a bespoke set. The presenters’ content was designed to inspire the strategy workshops, team activities and networking sessions built into the varied 3-day schedule.

The Full Package

Sandwiched neatly amongst these business focused sessions, a unique team working exercise delivered the message from a fresh angle. Devised by KDM, the activity involved 10 teams each tasked with building ‘their’ section of the Missing Link machine.  Gradually teams discovered they needed to cooperate to bring together the interconnected modules – thus putting into practice the company’s new strategy and enabling delegates to experience first-hand the ‘Unify’ theme.

Culminating in a final glitzy awards dinner complete with starlight ceiling, room dressing and entertainment, the entire proceedings were documented by a corporate cartoonist. Unveiled at the conclusion of the event, this was a colourful, giant landscape of the 3-day immersive strategy conference. Serving as a creative, visual reminder the copies certainly look memorable on the various international offices’ walls!

 

 

Relaxing breakout areas for extended lunch and refreshment breaks were set out to give plenty of opportunity for sharing best practices, ideas and strategy. Facilitator led workshop sessions in the welcoming wood panelled syndicate rooms saw delegates gathered in groups to talk through the applications coming out of the presentations. The resulting strategies were collated and re-presented back to the entire group by the lead facilitator to ensure the idea sharing continued.
