Royal Variety Themed Evening

What the client needed from their event

This was an annual celebration party for 267 guests. We met with the client to discuss possible themes for 2023. The Royal Variety theme was chosen with lots of discussion and suggestions around different types of acts and what type of entertainment was required for the guests.

The client wanted several different acts throughout the evening and dinner, to give that Royal Variety Show feel. KDM Events provided the following:

• Red velvet curtains, draping either side of the set.
• Full AV set – with a smoke haze for the awards ceremony.
• Saxophonist during pre-dinner drinks to give a chilled vibe.

Just before guests sat down to dinner, a short street dance performance was delivered, to liven the mood. During dinner, circus performers mixed and mingled around the tables performing differing acts.

The headline act was the 2020 winner of Britain’s Got Talent – Jon Courtney who performed a 30-minute show after dessert. Jon had also written a bespoke song based on the company and their values.

Following their awards, a lively band and DJ came on stage to entertain guests into the evening.

KDM Events also provided all the table dressing to make the room befitting of a royal variety show which included stunning floral centrepieces, chair covers and tiebacks.
