Communication is key to solving the ‘Missing Link’

Missing Link underlines the importance placed on groups, working both as separate units and all together as one body. The event literally builds up to a grand finale where individual elements are all brought together and the teams unite to achieve a common goal!

As the teams interpret their briefs, they will soon realise that they must communicate and cooperate with, rather than compete against the other teams in order to build their module. The module will then interconnect with that of the others to create the ‘Missing Link’.

'

How It Works…

Machine modules are allocated to each team as they endeavor to correctly build their section of the mysterious ‘Missing Link’ machine. Only when each section is correctly assembled and linked together can the machine be tested…and the team achieves success!  If you would like a longer event of over 90 minutes, we will begin the challenge with 4 mental or physical challenges which are to ascertain how well each team works together.

It is tense and it is sometimes exasperating but above all it proves that working together can be lots of fun and very rewarding.

  • Teams are allocated specific sections of the ‘machine’ to complete
  • Cryptic assembly instructions, photographs and machine parts are distributed to each team
  • Teams endeavour to interpret their brief and correctly build their section of the mysterious ‘Missing Link’ machine
