Olympic Fun

One of our most established legal clients came to us asking for a ‘school sports day with a difference’ for their annual event. With the 2012 Olympics eagerly anticipated they wanted to have this as the main theme whilst still catering for those who may not be “active” as others!

As always the event follows their week-long annual conference, so the activities provided need to blow away the cobwebs and leave a lasting positive message. We combined elements from our outdoor ‘Out of Office Olympics’ inflatable challenge with traditional ‘school sports’ races which met their needs perfectly.

We marked out a six-lane track and challenged teams to compete head to head on a selection of activities including sack races, human table football, egg and spoon races, beach volleyball and obstacle courses. Having worked with the company for the last six years, we know the group well and were not disappointed with the level of competition.

I was on hand to support the client on the day and watched in amazement at the amount of energy the teams had. Speaking to my client after the event he said the feedback had all been fantastic, even from those still hobbling! Everyone had a great time and it was a brilliant finale to their week.

Thanks to Garry and the rest of the event team for their patience with the teams, even with the attempts at bribery (what else do you expect from lawyers?) and also to the staff at Cranage Hall for looking after the group so well, as always!
