Treachery
Are you a traitor or a faithful? Which team can trace the traitor and who might be swayed?
- Duration: 90-120 minutes
- Requirements: Indoor Space
- Group Size: 10-192
SolarBuddy Hour of Power is a brand-new event to the UK market, this highly powerful collaborative charity team building activity will see your attendees tasked with assembling a solar-powered light – for distribution to children living in countries of extreme energy poverty, specifically in the Dominican Republic, Tanzania, India, Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu.
The statistics regarding the number of people worldwide who are living in energy poverty – defined as people with no access to safe and reliable sources of lighting – are truly shocking, and this collaborative group-based charity team building activity seeks to impact this one light at a time.
SolarBuddy are an Australian-based company and registered charity, and we are honoured to be the exclusive UK provider for this team building activity to the corporate market.
Alongside this indoor team building event, is its sister activity Student Buddy. A Student Buddy is a sophisticated and powerful lightweight solar system, incorporating USB charging capabilities. This provides safe, clean, sustainable lighting that transforms lives. Both these activities are designed to be aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals specifically; Health and Wellbeing, Quality Education, Affordable and Clean Energy.
The lead presenter will give a powerful presentation that is designed to educate the attendees about energy poverty, and the devastating effects that it has on those affected in marginalised communities and emerging economies in particular. This will also outline the work of SolarBuddy and help to raise awareness of their cause.
Come the end of the presentation, each attendee will be tasked with finalising the assembly of their own SolarBuddy, which is a solar-powered light incorporating a highly unique and personalised design aimed at children specifically.
Once completed, guests will then write a personalised letter which will be delivered alongside the device, as a way of further connecting with a child who is presently living in energy poverty.
This is also a highly educational event, with the opportunity to further highlight and advance the cause of tackling energy poverty
The SolarBuddy Hour of Power charity event delivers a real impact, with a high SROI (Social Return on Investment)
