A unique Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team building experience, designed to drive positive change and create meaningful impact. In small groups, participants are tasked with constructing a prosthetic hand, from scratch, that will be fitted to an amputee in a developing country that has lost a limb.
Following a powerful presentation, participants begin the self-build prosthetic hand kits, overseen and delivered by our expert event managers.
The experience begins with a compelling keynote presentation after which participants receive instructions on the self-build prosthetic hand kits. Each kit includes all the components needed to assemble one complete prosthetic hand, along with the necessary tools for construction. It also comes with a blank protective travel case for the finished hand and decorative pens for personalisation.
Step-by-step instructions with supporting videos are provided to the group and following the successful build the prosthetic hands go on to be fitted to recipients around the world, to countries including Brazil, India, Uganda, the USA and Spain.
With either a child (version 1) or adult (version 2) prosthetic available, once built and quality checked, we work alongside our distribution partner, Lightbulb, to ensure they arrive where they’re needed most.
Lightbulb are a member of the International Prosthetic Hands Team Building Association. The only world association that provides governance and a strict code of practice around the FDA-approved clinical devices used in this programme. This gives confidence that every prosthetic hand built during your event is designed to maintain the highest level of quality, authenticity and accountability. From development and production, right through to recipient distribution.
