Flying Start gives students access to the technology that is shaping tomorrow’s world. Drones are transforming the future and this experience puts your team right at the heart of it. It brings STEM subjects to life and by donating educational drones, your team helps bridge the digital skills gap and inspires the next generation of innovators.
Bring your team together with exciting charity team building events that combine innovation, collaboration and meaningful social impact. Teams take part in interactive drone challenges that test communication, creativity and problem-solving skills in a fun, fast-paced environment.
As part of these engaging charity team building activities, fully functional educational drones are donated to schools and youth clubs, helping young people access hands-on learning in coding, science, engineering and digital technology.
A unique CSR experience that delivers teamwork, purpose and lasting community impact.
Teams will build and fly their own educational drones in approximately 2.5 hours, though the timing can be adjusted to suit your event. The session begins with a group briefing and a short presentation from the recipient school or charity, highlighting how the donated drones will be used to support STE(A)M education for young people. (You can select your own recipient if preferred).
Each team is assigned a dedicated workshop area, fully equipped with tools, build instructions and a troubleshooting helpdesk to ensure safety and quality throughout the activity. To earn the parts needed to construct their drone, teams will take part in a series of tech-inspired challenges. Roles are allocated within each team to manage the build and flight preparations.
Once assembled and quality checked, teams will move to the flying zone to test their drone in an exciting finale. Can your team fly their drones through an obstacle course and safely land in the designated area!
