This event begins with a powerful introduction to energy poverty, helping participants understand the real-life challenges faced by millions of children and families living without reliable access to electricity. Teams discover how limited access to safe lighting affects education, health, safety and future opportunities around the world. As part of these meaningful charity team building events, participants then work together to assemble their own SolarBuddy solar-powered light. Designed specifically for children living in energy poverty, each device provides a safe, sustainable source of light that can help children study after dark.
To make the experience even more personal, every participant is invited to write a heartfelt message that will be delivered alongside their completed SolarBuddy light. This emotional connection transforms the activity from a simple team build into a truly purpose-driven experience with real human impact. Once assembled, the lights are distributed directly to schools, families and communities where access to electricity is limited or unavailable.
